Regardless of your experience, darts is a fun and enjoyable game of skill and strategy. Having been a part of the dart community for quite some time now, I have seen people at every level have fun and experience frustration. So I pose the question, are darts competitive or recreational? Well the answer is BOTH! Darts are what you make of them. You can come out and enjoy great company, an adult beverage (or not), and downright fun. I enjoy the best of both. During my league nights, I enjoy time with friends and the game of darts. I do not pay as much attention to the score of the match as I do in other situations. However, once I step foot into a regional or world tournament, I'm all business. One must remember that those tournaments are being played for hundreds, if not thousands, of dollars. Then again, I've seen people at these events laugh as they are eliminated from the tournament. So if there is any interest in part taking in one of the funnest and most competitive games that allows you to socialize in an adult atmosphere, give darts a shot! (No pun intended)
